• What are the minimum system requirements for taking the online training?

• Is this online training mandatory?

  Currently, completion of the online test security training modules is not a state requirement. It is, however, strongly recommended that districts and charter schools use these modules to help supplement the mandatory training required of all personnel involved in testing.

• Which e-mail address should I use to register for the individual training: personal or work account?

  Either a personal or a work e-mail account can be used to register for the training; however, users should consider entering the e-mail address that is least likely to change. Educators who are planning to move from one district to another, for example, might want to use their personal e-mail address if they anticipate that they will no longer have access to their work account after they leave.

• My e-mail address has changed. How can I retrieve my certificate(s)?

  A certificate can be sent only to the e-mail address that was entered by the user when he or she registered for the training. If the e-mail address that was initially used is no longer available, please contact the Support Center at (800) 627-0225 and request to have the certificate(s) e-mailed to your new e-mail address.

• How often can I undergo the training?

  Users may complete the modules as many times as they like, such as prior to each test administration.

• To whom do I give my training certificate(s)?

  TEA does not require individuals to submit their training certificate(s) to anyone; however, it is strongly recommended that you save copies of the certificates on your computer or print them for your records. Be aware that some districts may institute their own local policies that require staff to show proof of completion.

• How do I print or save my certificate(s)?

  The certificate of completion for each module is provided as an e-mail Adobe PDF attachment. Adobe Reader is a free software application that can be used to view PDF documents. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader software can be downloaded from the following website: http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/
  After the software has been installed on your computer, use the following directions to save or print your certificate(s):

  To Save:
  1. Open your e-mail software and locate the message that contains the Test Administrator Training Certificate PDF attachment.
  2. Open the PDF attachment to view your certificate.
  3. In the Adobe Reader window, go to File on the menu, select Save, and then select a location where you wish to save your certificate.
  
  To Print:
  1. Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer and is turned on.
  2. Open the certificate by either clicking on the PDF file or by opening the Adobe Reader application and then opening the certificate from the location where you saved the file.
  3. In the Adobe Reader window, go to File on the menu, select Print, and then confirm the printing options.

• I cannot see any of the pop-ups.

  If your Internet browser uses a pop-up blocker, please be sure to disable this function to view the training modules.
